Toasting the New Year!

Cheers to the New Year!
What better way to ring it in with none other than our favorite cocktail. For those of you who don't know, gin is our top drink (tied with prosecco that is). There's nothing like having a stocked bar cart in ones home that's on the ready for whenever you're looking to quench your thirst! At this moment we are LOVING gin with strawberries, black pepper and tonic. It has such a refreshing taste and the pepper while muted still gives off a hint of spice.  We tend to do low key parties for NYE so this drink will be an easy one to make without having to take time away from hosting to whip up a cocktail. All you'll need is:

- 3 ice cubes
- 2 fresh strawberries
- 1 pinch of black peppercorns
- 1 oz gin (we prefer Hendrick's)
- tonic (as much as you'd like)

Fill your glass in above order, and enjoy!

Here's hoping 2018 will be all that you wish for! See you in the new year lovelies.

Living Room Christmas Decor

TV stand - custom made
Blanket ladder- antique

It's no secret that my favorite holiday is Christmas! I know it sounds crazy but I decorate every year on Nov. 1, mostly because I love the the general spirit of Christmas. I love how everything looks, and more importantly, how everything feels. People in general are in a lot better moods around the holidays so it's nice kicking that off early. I tend to keep my decor more traditional for Christmas, and I love the feel of the coziness it brings into my home. My favorite thing to do is curl up on the couch under a big blanket with a hot mug of chai and watch my top Christmas movies while the coal stove roars in the background-- it's simply peaceful! How do you guys decorate during the holidays?

Thanks for stopping by!

My New Hair Care Routine

So guys, I have to tell you all about this new haircare routine I've recently fell in love with. It's OUAI by Jen Atkins and it's a complete game changer! I have long curly hair and for those who don't know, it can be a struggle. My hair tends to feel dry and get tangled very easily so I'm constantly on the hunt for something to fix these issues. OUAI has delivered on every aspect that I was looking for in my haircare routine. The shampoo & conditioner leave my hair feeling so soft and hydrated while the oil pairs nicely to tame my frizz and give my hair a nice shine. Not to mention that the oil smells so amazing it's like you just washed your hair (even if you haven't in a few days). I love to blow dry my hair with mousse, the good stuff- not the kind that leaves your hair feeling crunchy, and OUAI knocked it out of the park. When my hair is done and all styled, I like it to have that touchable feel and this mousse really accomplished that. I can't rave enough about these products, I'm not thinking of purchasing the hairspray and curl jelly. I'll let you know how that goes.. in the meantime- thanks for stopping by & enjoy your Sunday!
